Who Are We?
We are a diverse coalition of traditional, centrist, and progressive United Methodists who wish to remain United Methodist, including clergy and laity in the North Alabama Conference. We take the scripture very seriously and hold the Bible as the primary revelation of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord. We believe in the historic creeds of orthodoxy, and love the tradition of the Church. We strive to love God with our whole being and to love our neighbors as ourselves. We pray and work for the movement of the Holy Spirit in the United Methodist Church. We have a passion for both relational evangelism and missional justice. We value our diverse points of view and believe we are called to be one church together.
We love the United Methodist Church, but we live for Jesus Christ.
We are organized as a 501(c)3 organization, completely independent of the United Methodist Church and the North Alabama Conference for the sole purpose of keeping the churches of the North Alabama Conference in the United Methodist Church, should the Protocol pass.
